Hi All, i have a Mondeo MK4 where my head unit stopped powering up so i have purchased another identical head unit and i have the code for it, i have fitted the radio and when it asks for the code none of the buttons work, and then sometimes the number 1 button will work but no other buttons will work, not even the delete option,i have searched
Ford 7000 Radio not working - jc2 My understanding is that the front panels are interchangeable between radios of the same type.ie.a 6000 panel will work on all 6000 series,a 5000 on all 5000 series.There is a part number on the back under the pocket clip.You may need to "wiggle" the panel about in the slot to get a good contact.

I would suspect a loose or damaged wire, with it working fine for a while once you plugged it back in. I would suggest taking the radio out, because as you said when the radio is off, there isn't a problem and see what functions you have and whether it plays up again. Hi, my radio doesnt seem to be able to pick up any stations. the radio display is perfect and you can search etc for stations but nothing is ever found. the cd player works fine with no faults. any ideals chums? ps. have checked all fittings, plugs, fuses and leads to the radio and all are fine.
